The Oxford ADT Running Club and the runners and walkers who participated in previous races say "THANKS" to ALL the volunteers who make the State-To-State such a GREAT event! Listed below are the various volunteer opportunities available for 2010. Please click on the links below to get position details. All volunteers will receive a special volunteer t-shirt and are invited to participate in the post race celebration. Free food will be provided to volunteers! Description: Post no parking signs along sections of High Street and Contreras. Some sections will need to be posted several days in advance and checked on daily for repairs. Coordinator: Race Coordinator Time Commitment: Pre-Race duties. As available. What to wear: Dress for weather and wear comfortable shoes.
Description: Help prepare race packets with goodies and instruction sheets. Put labels on pre-registered race numbers. Coordinator: Packet Prep Coordinator Time Commitment: Pre-Race duties as available. What to wear: This will be done
indoors, so wear whatever is comfortable.
Description: Watch over tents and equipment that will be left up in the Uptown parks overnight. Coordinator: Race Coordinator Time Commitment: Saturday, Sept. 25th at 10:00 p.m. through Sunday, the 26th at 5:00 a.m. What to wear: Dress warm
since it will be overnight. Snacks and refreshments will be provided.
Description: Assist with registration and packet pickup.   You will have your choice to work with either pre-registered particpants or those who need to register. Those who pre-registered only need to pick up their race number and packet. Those who are registering, will need to pay, have their race number filled out, and pick up their packet. There may also be a separate area for the 5K and kids fun run registration. Coordinator: Registration Coordinator Time Commitment: Saturday Sept. 25th(10:00 - 3:00 p.m.) and/or Sunday, Sept. 26th (Race Day) 6:00 - 8:00 a.m.) and as available. Shifts of 2-4 hours. What to wear: You
will be provided with a volunteer t-shirt to be worn during your shift(s).
You will be sitting down most of the time.
Description: Assist Race Coordinators in setting up and tearing down the race headquarters area. Other duties may include loading/unloading supplies from trucks, hauling tables, trash, etc. Coordinator: Race Coordinators Time Commitment:Saturday evening and/or Sunday morning. What to wear: You
will be provided with a volunteer t-shirt to be worn during your shift(s).
Wear comfortable shoes because you will be on your feet.
Description: Assigned a designated area to monitor along the course. Responsible for keeping the course safe for the runners (running area clear of pedestrians, spectators, cars, etc. Each monitor is provided an orange safety vest and caution sign. The safety vest must be worn, and the caution sign is used to alert oncoming traffic and pedestrians of your presence. In case of an emergency, course monitors should contact the crew chief in that designated area. Enjoy yourself and cheer on the runners! Coordinator: Course Monitors Coordinator Time Commitment: Maximum of 5 hours on race morning. Course Monitor meet at a predetermined location on the course on race morning. What to wear: Course
Monitors will be provided a volunteer t-shirt to wear on race day.

Description: Call out splits along the course. Coordinator: Course Timer Coordinator Time Commitment: A maximum of 5 hours on race morning. What to wear: Timers will be provided a volunteer t-shirt to wear on race day. Dress for the
weather and wear comfortable shoes.
Position: Finish/Recovery Area Description: Remove tags from runners, hand out medals and ribbons to runners, direct runners out of the chute to water and food. Coordinator: Awards Coordinator Time Commitment: Maximum of 5 hours on race morning. What to wear: You will be provided with a volunteer
t-shirt to wear on race day. Dress for the weather and wear comfortable shoes.
Description: Responsible for setting up and maintaining beverages at assigned station. Coordinator: Water Station Coordinator Time Commitment: A maximum of 5 hours on race morning. What to wear: Station sponsors are encouraged to wear represented sponsorship organization. Dress for the weather and wear comfortable shoes.
Position: Food and Beverages Tables Description: Responsible for setting up and maintaining food and drink supplies Coordinator: Food Coordinator Time Commitment: Maximum of 5 hours on race morning. What to wear: You will be provided with a volunteer t-shirt to wear
on race day. Dress for the weather and wear comfortable shoes.
Description: Provide a bag and storage location for participant's extra clothes, sweats, shoes, etc. Help participants mark their bags with their name and race number. Coordinator: Race Coordinator Time Commitment: A maximum of 6 hours on race day. What to wear: You will be provided a volunteer t-shirt
to wear on race day. Dress for the weather and wear comfortable shoes.
