  1. The name, age, sex, and category are correct.
  2. The number on the front, matches the number on the label.
  3. Any discrepancy on your runner/walker label should be reported immediately to the registration table.
Bag n' Tag - Close to the start area there will be a table clearly marked for you to store sweats, extra clothes, gear, shoes, etc. (NO VALUABLES PLEASE). The bag containing your race/walk materials can be used. Otherwise, similar bags will be provided.

On the Course

  • Split times will be called out at each mile mark.
  • Water (and some Powerade) stations will be available approximately every mile.
  • Please keep to the right curb throughout most of the run/walk.This is particularly important for slower runners/walkers, so that faster runners/walkers can pass. For most of the race you will be on the right side of the road. The course is an out-and-back. As you return into Oxford, and as racers thin out, one lane of the road will open up to allow some traffic pass through.
  • If you become disabled, try to walk to the nearest water station for assistance. Radio operators will be available to assist you. Emergency vehicles will be available in case of serious injury.
  • No pets, skateboards, roller blades, bicycles, baby joggers, or any other type of vehicle.
  • Wearing headsets is not recommended.
  • PLEASE ENJOY AND THANK THE BANDS VOLUNTEERING ALONG THE COURSE!

Finish Line

Once in the chute, all participants must keep walking through the chute. No passing in the finish line chute - exit at the end of the chute.

Chip timing The State-to-State half-marathon and 5K will be timed with an IPICO Timing System. Please make sure a volunteer removes your timing chip after you cross the finish line. If you don't run the race but do get your packet, make sure to return your timing chip to avoid a replacement fee.

After you finish, volunteers will direct you to food and refreshments, and back into the Uptown Parks where you can savor and celebrate your victory!
