What is the date for the 2010 State-to-State Half Marathon?
Start Times Walk-up registration and packet pickup ends at 8:00 a.m., so please arrive in plenty of time before your race. At the starting area, you will find water, medical, gear check (Bag N' Tag) and portable toilets. Minimum age requirement
Parking/Shuttle Services The distance between Cook Field and the Uptown Parks is approximately 6/10 of a mile. Since 2003, the Oxford ADT Running Club, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, has donated over $60,000 to various local and national charities.
Are there handicap parking spaces close to the start/finish area? Yes, the area around the Uptown Parks is closed to normal traffic before and during the race . It is used by only a few people like race officials, the race photographer, etc. This is also where we accommodate people with handicaps. The best thing is for you to come early before it gets too crowded, so it will be easier to help you get through a barricade and parked. You will need to enter from the Church and Main street side of the park. Turn south onto Main Street off of Church Street. If you need assistance, please let somebody in the volunteer and information booth know, which is also located on the same side of the park. In addition, there will be a couple of handicapped portolets in the park. And, the Elms hotel, which is nearby has a ramp and access to restroom facilities.
How do I register for the State-to-State Half-Marathon? You can Register Online or send us a Printable Entry Form Registration forms are available at the Oxford Visitor and Convention Bureau, Miami University Recreation Center, Bob Ronker's Running Spot; as well as various other running stores and fitness centers in Greater Cincinnati. Also, we will be happy to mail you a brochure if you email us. Who should I make the check out to and where should I mail the registration form? Write the check out to STATE-TO-STATE and mail registration to STATE-TO-STATE, 14 W. Park Place, OXFORD, OH 45056 Entry fees are non-refundable and entries are non-transferable. This means once we receive and accept your entry, you will not receive a refund if you cannot participate and you will not be able to give or sell your number to anyone else.
May I pick up race material for a family member or friend? You may pick up race packet(s) for a family member or friend. We will probably ask you for your photo id, so we can record who picked up the race packet(s). There will be port-a-potties located every 1 to 2 miles along the course as well as the start and finish areas. The State-to-State races will start adjacent to the Uptown Parks in Oxford, near the intersection of High and Main Streets. Yes, there will be a lead bicyclist leading the front runners along the course. Are bikes, rollerblades, or baby joggers allowed on the course? Sorry, no dogs, in-line skates, baby joggers, skateboards, or bikes will be allowed on any part of the course. This is for everyone's safety!
The course will be open for about 4 hours. As you return into Oxford, and as racers thin out, one lane of the road will open up to allow some traffic pass through. At 11:30 a.m. you may be asked to moved to the sidewalks where sidewalks are available. Where can I veiw my race results? Results will be posted in or around the pavillion as the races are in progress. Expect about a 30 minute delay between the time you finish and the time your results are posted.   Also, all results will be posted on the web site about an hour after the last finisher finishes. So, probably around 1:00 p.m. the results will be on the web site.
Will I recieve a Finishers Medal for completing the State-to-State Half-Marathon? Yes, everyone who completes the half-marathon and 5K will receive a Finisher's medal. Will there be an awards ceremony? No, all awards will be mailed to recipients within 2 to 3 weeks of the race.
Are there refreshments at the end of the race? There will be plenty of water and sports drinks available at the finish line. In addition, there will be plenty of food to provide you with the nourishment and protein needed after a race.
