State-to-State Half Marathon

State to State ends on the 10 Year Anniversary

2012 marked the 10-year Anniversary of the State-to-State Half Marathon, 5K, and Kid's Fun Run. We had one of our best years in terms of numbers of children participants. Many thanks to Bogan, Kramer, and Marshall Elementary schools for encouraging the kids to participate, and to Ms. Lisa Lorigan, for organizing the kids' events. It is with sadness that we report there will be no S2S in 2013. A lot of factors go into making this race happen: volunteers, city & county permits, sponsorships & donations, advertising, police & EMS, and of course, the participants. Between the shrinking board membership, shrinking number of volunteers, and shrinking economy, there didn't seem to be a way to provide a quality race for 2013. Whether S2S be back for 2014 remains unseen. Please feel free to share your thoughts on past races and hopes for future races.
